The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered businessman Oba Otudeko to take a plea in the charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke issued the order on Monday during the hearing of the case.

The EFCC had earlier filed a 13-count charge against Otudeko and three others over an alleged ₦30 billion loan fraud.

During the proceedings, the judge ruled that Otudeko must take his plea before any application challenging the court’s jurisdiction could be considered.

Following this decision, the case was adjourned to May 8 for further hearing.
