Prince Amb. (Dr.) Adedipe Dauda Ewenla Criticizes Tinubu’s Administration, Calls for PDP's Return in 2027

Prince Amb. (Dr.) Adedipe Dauda Ewenla, a prominent figure in the People's Democratic Party (PDP) from Alimosho Local Government Area in Lagos State, has voiced strong discontent with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In a recent statement, he accused Tinubu of failing to deliver on key promises two years after manipulating the last General elections in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) chairman in 2023.

Criticism of the Tinubu Administration

Ewenla expressed frustration over what he described as the poor performance of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government, claiming that the administration has not made any meaningful progress in addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges and infrastructural deficits. He lamented that, despite high expectations, Tinubu's government has not significantly improved the living conditions of Nigerians.

According to Ewenla, the economy remains in a dire state, with inflation continuing to rise, the cost of living worsening, and the naira depreciating. He emphasized that businesses are struggling, unemployment rates are increasing, and ordinary Nigerians are bearing the brunt of harsh economic realities.

On infrastructure, Ewenla accused the government of neglecting critical sectors, failing to improve roads, power supply, and essential public services. He argued that, rather than fulfilling its campaign promises, the administration has been more focused on political maneuvering and consolidating power at the expense of national development.

Call for Change in 2027

Given the perceived failure of the Tinubu-led government, Ewenla called on Nigerians to reject the APC in the 2027 general elections. He urged the electorate to rally behind the PDP, which he believes has the capacity to restore economic stability, improve infrastructure, and provide good governance. He stressed the need for a leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the people over political interests.

As the 2027 elections approach, criticisms like Ewenla’s signal a growing dissatisfaction among opposition members and some Nigerians regarding the current administration. While APC supporters may argue that Tinubu’s government needs more time to implement its policies, opposition voices continue to highlight what they see as a lack of tangible progress.
