Hon. Nafiu Abimbola Sworn in as Secretary to Imeko-Afon Local Government, Promises Dedicated Service

In a heartwarming ceremony filled with gratitude and optimism, Hon. Nafiu O. Abimbola was sworn in as the new Secretary to the Imeko-Afon Local Government. The event brought together esteemed leaders, friends, and well-wishers from across the globe, all gathered to celebrate this significant milestone in Abimbola’s political journey.

In his inaugural appreciation message, Hon. Abimbola expressed profound gratitude to the people of Imeko-Afon for the trust they have placed in him. He emphasized the importance of community support and the collective efforts required to foster development within the local government. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I write to express my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for the trust and confidence you have reposed in me,” he stated.
Highlighting the pivotal role played by influential figures in his career, Abimbola extended special thanks to Hon. Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Students Loans, Scholarships, and Higher Education Financing. He acknowledged Isiaka’s mentorship and unwavering support, which he credited as instrumental in his journey to leadership.

Reflecting on his previous role, Abimbola expressed deep appreciation for his former boss, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, the Commissioner for Sports Development in Ogun State. He regards this experience as a vital preparation for his new responsibilities, stating, “You will remain a reference point for emerging leaders across the world.”

The new Secretary also recognized other notable figures in the community, including Hon. Jemeel Akingbade, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, and former State Assembly member Hon. Salman Adeleke (Sonto). His gratitude extended to Uncle Hon. Albert Durojaye Ashipa, the National Leader of the Association of Ex-Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria (ASELGON), and the APC Chairman of Imeko-Afon L.G., Hon. Segun Olaotan, thanking them for their contributions to his success and promising that the good Lord will reward them accordingly.

Abimbola's message also included heartfelt appreciation for his new boss, Hon. Theophillus Aremu Olorode, the Executive Chairman of Imeko-Afon L.G. He praised Olorode’s leadership and vision, vowing to support him in achieving their collective goals for the local government.

In a special mention, he expressed gratitude to the overall leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, H.E. Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun CON.
