In a remarkable demonstration of commitment to his constituents, the member representing Ipokia/Idiroko State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Otunba (Hon.) Bisi Oyedele-Citiside recently commissioned several vital community projects across various wards in his constituency. These projects include portable water borehole systems in Okere, Ihunbo/Ilashe Ward; Wheke, Maun Ward 1 and Igude, Agada Ward respectively. Additionally, he laid the foundation for blocks of two (2) classrooms each at Area Community High School, Madoga Ifonyintedo Ward and Gbenopo Progressive High School, Vawhe Hundo, Maun II respectively. Furthermore, Otunba Oyedele-Citiside inspected the ravamping of the Iporan community Health Center in Ipokia 2, showcasing his dedication to improving healthcare facilities in the constituency.
Despite not receiving any funds for constituency projects, Otunba Oyedele-Citiside emphasized that he undertook these initiatives from his savings, driven by a deep sense of responsibility to deliver tangible benefits to his people. He highlighted several resolutions and expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for being a loving leader and a father to all. He also extended his gratitude to Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan YAYI for facilitating several impactful projects within the constituency and aiding his representation via his giant strides.
The events witnessed the presence of notable leaders and dignitaries, including the Executive Vice Chairman- Hon. Makanjuola Sewanu, Honourable Councillors, Members of the Local Government council, as well as a host of party and community leaders; all of whom came to support and celebrate these significant developments.
The newly commissioned portable water borehole projects are expected to greatly alleviate water scarcity issues, providing clean and accessible portable water to residents in the affected areas and by extension helping in the drive for elimination of water borne diseases.
The foundation laying for new classrooms signifies a major step towards enhancing educational infrastructure and also ensuring a conducive learning environment for the children in these communities.
The people of the Agada Community expressed their gratitude and surprise at the good work of the Honourable, especially the evacuation and channelling of the Ilashe stream. They also pleaded with Otunba Oyedele-Citiside to extend the same gesture to them. In response, Hon. Bisi Oyedele noted that the evacuation and channelling of the Ilashe stream was a key project for him and noted with intense priority what to do to the good people of Agada. He took the opportunity to appreciate the Governor for the approval and assured the Agada community that he would do everything in his capacity to find ways to rechannel the Agada River.
Otunba Oyedele-Citiside’s actions reflect his unwavering dedication to the well-being and progress of his constituency, setting a commendable example of leadership and community service.
