Sen. Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has called for calm subsequent to the unnecessary explosion that happened in the late hours of yesterday 16th of January, 2024.
According to Okanlomo of Ibadanland, "The unnecessary explosion that rocked part of old Bodija is highly regrettable. The State Governor, H.E Engr. Seyi Makinde and other emergency agencies proactive and rapid response is highly commendable. The Governor has given a reassurrance to the citizens. In this season of hardship, carelessness of an individual has been linked to the fatality, injuries and multi-million naira damage to properties in the environment." He said
Also he said, "At this juncture, it should be drummed to all citizens that vigilance and quick report should be made to necessary authority whenever a security lapse is noticed. It should become our responsibility.
We pray to Almighty God for the reposed of the deceased souls and a speedy recovery to the injured. May peace and tranquility noted with Ibadan reign supreme." He added.
He assured the residents of Ibadan of their safety as Governor Seyi Makinde has intervene, noting that the culprit would be brought to book after the ongoing investigation.
