Delta Delegates in the African Young Political Leadership School Africa 2023 have appreciated the Government of Delta State led by H.E Gov. Sherrif Oborevwori for is youth inclusion and development policies ,with about 11 Delegates sponsored for the 2023 Political School currently holding in Liberia.
They made this position known in a statement issued to this medium by the leader of the delegation, Ambassador Elvis Akpobi, the immediate past special Assistant to the Delta State Government on Youth Development and Executive Director NotTooYoungToLead initiative, in Monrovia shortly after the opening of the event on Monday 21st August 2023.
According to Ambassador Akpobi in his own words "We are grateful to the Government of Delta State, for this rare privilege that has exposed these young Deltans to gaining knowledge from the Young Politics Leadership School Africa, which in currently holding in Monrovia, Liberia."
"The Delta state Government has once again demonstrated
commitment to youth development and the desire to see young people acquire the needed knowledge to excell and explore their capabilities through the acquisition of addition knowledge", he concluded.
The School was declared Open by His Excellency Urban Sjöström, the Swedish Ambassador to Liberia who charged Delegates to deepen democracy in West Africa and Africa at large. He emphasized that democracy is not always about the majority but the influence of the minority.
