A middle age man identified as ‘Erupe’ has reportedly cut off the head of an elderly man in Ipara Remo, a community in Remo North Local government area of Ogun State.
Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened Friday morning 21st of July, 2023.
Eye witnesses reported that Erupe who was a known drug addict, stormed the victim’s house located within the same neighborhood, and beheaded him.
Erupe was said to have left the man to die in the pool of his blood before help could come from people in the neighborhood.
He subsequently fled the scene of crime.
Angered by this dastardly act, youths and other residents of ipara immediately mobilsed themselves and swooped on Erupe in his hideout and lynched him to death.
Our correspondent further gathered that Erupe had already been lynched before the arrival of Policemen.
The police have been able to put the situation under control while the two bodies have been evacuated from the scenes of the crime.
