....Your Victory a Renewed Call To Service

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council wishes to congratulate the Ogun State Governor and Governor-Elect on your resounding victory at the just concluded election and the award of Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to Comrade ‘Wale Olanrewaju,Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council, The NUJ realises that we are living in tumultuous times, and it takes great courage and sacrifice, as greatly exhibited by you, to be willing to step forward and lead to navigate these rough waters. Having always been a strongly passionate leader and a tireless advocate for the people, we are confident that you will continue to work tirelessly to serve our dear State with distinction just as we urge that you surround yourself with those who would give wise counsel and unwavering loyalty in your determination to make Ogun a better place for all.

Ogun journalists, therefore wish you success as you take up new challenges that await you in your exalted office, and also assure Your Excellency of our full support as you continue on this familiar journey towards elevating our State to a higher level.

We strongly look forward to working with you with strong assured commitment by providing outstanding services in line with global best practices, hoping that you will in turn build a stronger media bonding and effective communication mercenary that will at all times provide you with professional support.

While we urge Your Excellency to be magnanimous in victory, we passionately call on all political parties to refrain from violence or inflammatory rhetoric that is capable of questioning the integrity of our wall of unity, as a people, but urge them to register their concerns through established legal mechanisms.

While we look forward to seeing all the positive changes you will bring about in your second coming in this role, we wish you God's guidance, strength, direction and Solomonic wisdom to deliver on your mandate to the good people of Ogun State.
Once again, congratulations, Your Excellency.
