......Residents call for Governor Abiodun's intervention before it result to communal clash
The councillor representing Elere/Onigbedu Ward in Ewekoro Local Government of Ogun State, Hon. Rasheed Farombi Olabamiji (ORF) was allegedly arrested along side one Mr. Omolokun Ganiu and others by men of the Nigerian Police Force, Area Command Sango yesterday on the site of road grading yesterday 25th of April, 2023.
According to eye witness who plead on anonymity said, Hon. Rasheed Farombi Olabamiji (ORF) was arrested based on the land issue between him and one Mrs. Sheriff (Alase) an indigene of Kajola community in Elere/Onigbedu Ward.
However, It was gathered that this same set of land grabbers were also men of the said Mr. Owoeye circus, a notorious land grabber that has been tormenting the peace and decorum of the community for some decades now.
It was also gathered that same land grabbers alongside other cohorts like the dreadful apolo and omitola amongst others who have been tormenting and disturbing the peace and harmony of the good people of Elere/ Onigbedu Ward.
We hereby call on the general public to intervene and bring the perpetrators to book. This should not be swept under the carpet based on those involved connection to some people at the helms of affairs.
And again we can not fold our hands with those people called land grabbers in our environment. We are appealing to both the state and local government to look into this matter as regards land grabbing.
We implore the people's Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to please use his good office to ensure a lasting solution to the said land Agent matter in our community to serve as scape goat to wade off land grabiing in Ogun state at large.
