The Publicity Secretary of PCC Parliamentarians Directorate South-West made the plea in an open letter written to the natives of Ile-Ife both home and Diaspora on the need to vote the APC and its presidential candidate in the coming general elections.

Makinde, who is a grassroots political mobiliser, in the open letter affirmed that Tinubu might come from Lagos State but he is a Yoruba man and very well connected to Ile-Ife.

He said, "Bola Tinubu may come from Lagos State, yet he is a Yoruba Man and very well connected to Ile Ife. He may be a member of All progressives congress APC, yet he is a Yoruba man. Who is that a Yoruba Person that is not connected to Ile Ife, the town remain known as  the Origin of Yoruba land.

"Today, Tinubu our kinsman is seeking Ife's support, he is contesting against non-Yoruba, non-Ife, he sees Ife as his home, kindness goes a long ways lots of times when its shown mostly at home. Will Ile Ife his home denied their son the much needed affection  come 2023?.

"To all my brothers and sisters whereever you are and especially in Ife federal constituency, the whole world is looking at us, the whole nation is waiting for what comes out of ile Ife as votes.

"Will votes from Modakeke, Ipetumodu and Ife South out numbered that of Ifes? This 2023 is going to be a test case of how loveable we could be towards Yoruba sons and daughters. It's going be a yardstick to measure how much we love our own people..Its on record, Ife voted for Obasanjo, now we must repeat the love for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu" he stated.
