The Parliamentarians Committee Of the South West, an arm of the Presidential Campaign Council of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has on Monday nominated members that will work with the Directorate for the success of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's victory ahead of the 2023 general poll at Local Govts, Wards and Unit Levels.

This was contained in a press release signed by Hon. Rotimi Makinde who doubles as Deputy Secretary/Publicity Secretary of the South West Parliamentarians Directorate.

Makinde according to the statement gave details of the nominated members who are carefully drawn from all the six South West States of the region.

The committee, under the Directorship of Rt. Hon. Patricia Etteh and Senator Ganiyu Solomon informed the members that among other duties expected of the committee was to coordinate an aggressive mobilisation of Nigerians in the zone under the general guidance of the PCC, organise and identify leaders plus voters in each state and educate them on their democratic rights as well as the need to work towards actualising victory for Tinubu in the forthcoming elections.

Makinde said, “In line with our resolution shortly after the inauguration of the Parliamentarians Committee of the APC Presidential Campaign Council Committee of the South West held on the 18th of November 2022, towards actualising victory for the party’s Presidential flag bearer and his running mate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Ahmed Shettima 2023.

“Please find below nominated members of the Parliamentarians Directorate to serve in various capacities in their respective states of the South West, with this mandate each state is hereby expected to extend the organogram to their Local Governments, Wards and Unit Levels."

Hon. Makinde added,

“Parliamentarians represent their constituents in many unique ways, spines of the movers in our political arena and as well form one of the very important machineries to garner and mobilize votes for any political parties or candidates. This is one the advantages Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Sen Ahmed Shetima 2023 have ahead of others. They are both former parliamentarians unlike others."
