.......Warns Students to be careful, so that hoodlums will not hijack their struggles 

Former house of representatives member, Hon Rotimi Makinde has urged the two prominent monarchs in Nigeria and other eminent personalities accross the nation  most especially His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, The Ooni of Ife and Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammed Sa'as Abubakar III, to as a matter of urgent intervene in the raging dispute between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU.

He revealed this on a live program OJU ABE on Thursday at Oodua Fm in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Makinde, made the statement as a result of protest action by the students erupting all over the country, which includes blockage of federal roads and access to airports.

Also, he cautioned that these actions by the students certainly would have negative impact on economic activities hence the urgent intervention of both Ooni and Sultan of Sokoto to douse the tension and esch parties to give room for immediate solution to the incessant strike of the lecturers.

Makinde in his words mentioned that this Asuu strike is despicable for our nation and not good for the leaders of tomorrow as their education has been on hold for over 7 months due to the ongoing strike.

He however cautioned the students to lay back, in other to avoid possible hijacking of their struggles by hoodlums, who will eventually ruin their good intention .
