2023: Assembly Candidate of ADC, Omobolaji Oyesanya Promises Quality Representation

African Democratic Congress, ADC candidate from Sagamu Constituency 1,Omobolaji Oluwaseun Oyesanya , has assured his constituents of effective representation if given the mandate come 2023 general election.

Oyesanya, made the pledge at the weekend in his acceptance speech during a meeting with the people of his Constituency, held in Sagamu area of the state, after consultation with various stakeholders, leaders, women/youth groups of Saganu State Constituency 1.

Omobolaji Oluwaseun Oyesanya, popularly known as BJ or Omo Lisa contested in 2019 under All Progressive Congress, APC for House of Assembly, he also contested for the chairmanship position of Sagamu local government in 2021 under same party but was denied the tickets.

He said, “I am seeking for a seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly as a representative of our people from Sagamu Constituency 1, to raise the bar of political representation, demonstrate leadership capacity that will surpass our previous and current experience, as well as address the weaknesses of previous and ongoing administrations, and build on their gains to set a prospect for the future.

"Above all, I am hoping that my adoption and subsequent election as the candidate to represent the African Democratic Congress, ADC in next year’s Ogun State House of Assembly elections to redress the lopsidedness we have witnessed in the manner more candidates from Sagamu Constituency have tended to take what I think has been rightly ours for so many years.”

Oyesanya also appealed to residents to support his aspiration in the interest of equity and fairness.

“As a democrat, I am a firm believer in building consensus through stable and due consultation among the elite of different groups. I am appealing to you to key into this democratic thinking.

“As the foremost candidate from the Sagamu axis of our constituency, I would like to humbly ask you to adopt my aspirations as yours in the interest of our party’s symbol of progressive politics, democracy, equity and fairness,” he added.
