In his remarks, Governor Abiodun who extolled the Speaker's late mother for a life well spent with service to God and humanity in positive ways, urged the family to take solace that the deceased lived a worthy life and left behind fond memories.

According to him, " the death of a beloved Matriarch is usually a painful loss, no matter the age, especially coming at a time her treasured companionship, wealth of experience and motherly counsel are most required".

Governor Abiodun stated that Speaker Oluomo had been seamlessly piloting the affairs of the legislative arm, which had resulted into harmonious working relationship among all arms of government, thus sustaining and attracting more development initiatives to the State.

Also, the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman, who offered prayers for the repose of  the soul of the deceased, extended his condolence to Speaker Oluomo and the entire family of the octogenarian.

They charged the people to emulate the life and virtues of late Alhaja Oluomo, who they described as a deeply pious religious adherent, who exhibited religious tolerance amongst family, friends and neighbours.

While stating that others should learn from her well-celebrated death, the clerics applauded the deceased for touching lives with her deeds and resources at her disposal while alive.
