The Zonal Commander , ACG Shem Sunday Obafaiye in company of the Provost College of Security Management ,CC Racheal Awosusi and CC Kolawole Taiwo ( Commandant Ogun NSCDC) and senior officer from the 3 formation of NSCDC in Ogun State received the delegation at about 1147hrs.

The 12 member Ministerial Committee was led by Brigadier General W.R Obeme (RTD)

According to Olaleye Tunde (DSC), CDPRO Zone F, The team was taken to meet with the Chief Security Officer of the State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, Executive Governor of Ogun State at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.












The Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, received the delegation on behalf of the Governor who she said was unavoidably because he is attending to Official State assignment outside the country. Joining her to welcome the team was the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Mr. Olusola Subair ( AIG, Rtd), Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Joseph Olatokunbo Talabi amongst other top government functionaries. 

Brigadier General WR Obene (Rtd.), appreciated the State Government for the warm reception and the numerous support the Government has been extending to all Civil Defence formations in the state , he particularly stressed on the extension of the mini-power plant to the NSCDC College of Security Management, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, provision of Hilux,cars,security gadgets and moral support, amongst others the Corps has been enjoying from the State Government ,that in no small measure, the geatures has helped the Corps in delivering its mandate. 

He informed H.E that the Commitee is saddled with the responsibility of upgrading institutions of the NSCDC to international standard, knowing fully well that Ogun State is known for its Excellence in Academic pursuit.

The opportunity was used to seek more logistical support for the Corps and promised to use every resources within their reach to upgrade the College of Security  Management to meet up with the standard of Nigeria Defence Academy and it likes.

In the responses of the Deputy Governor, she appreciated Brigadier General Obene, Rtd., and the team for going down memory lane as regards the various support the State Government had done to the NSCDC in general.

She informed the Committee of the stands of Governor against crime and criminality ,that the State Government will not relent in supporting the organisation at all time. She said every requests being reeled out by the team leader on how to improve the response rate by the agency will be delivered to His Excellency upon his return.

She also said NSCDC  is known to be a dependable agency especially during emergencies, crises and disaster management periods aside its core mandates such as: Pipeline Monitoring, Protection of Critical National Assets and other key function. 

She emphasised that the State Government will not hesitate to extend support to Security Agencies to make the state crime free so as help the Government bring in more investors and investment opportunities to the State.

The Team left the Governor's Office at about 1510hrs.
