ABEOKUTA— Subsequent to the assassination of the Oba Odetola Joseph, Olu of Agodo Kingdom in Ewekoro local government, the executive chairman of the council, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa (Eskay) has embarked on inspection and investigation journey to tackle the unrest within Agodo Community of Asa/ Yobo Ward under Ewekoro Local Government Area after the killing of the monarch yesterday 24th of January 2021 by unknown gunmen.
Also, Adesina vowed to bring the perpetrators of evil to book after he launched the investigation team to report the true situation of the matter that led to killings of the monarch and three others.
He was accompanied by the Vice-chairman Hon. Sunkanmi Olabode, Leader of the House Hon. Abiola Kehinde Muheeb, among Honourable Councillors and Local Government Security stakeholders, Police Force Team, Civil Defence and DSS to inspect the venue of the incident.
According to the report made available to Amebo Newspaper NG, some hoodlums invded the community and attacked Oba Odetola Joseph Ayinde while he visited the village with his boys, he was killed alongside his three children and the corpse and the car was burnt to ashes to avoid suspicious activity of the perpetrators of evil.
Meanwhile, the governor of Ogun state during his response to the incident promised to ensure the perpetrators are arrested and prosecuted by the law accordingly.
