The chairman of All Progressive Congress APC in Abeokuta North local government, Alhaja Faidat Akitunde has restated her commitment to engaging the youth, women and students in the local government to ensure peaceful coexistence towards massive winning in the forthcoming general election.

Akintunde while speaking with Amebo Newspaper NG, said she would never listen to any distraction most especially from those who want her to fail as the chairman of the party.

"I am aware some set of persons are not pleased seeing a woman becoming the chairman of All Progressive Congress APC in the North but the only way to shut them is by performing beyond expectations, I shall not give any room for anyone to assassinate my character with their choice of derogatory words and phrases, my plans for the party is so enormous than to be listening to distractions." Said Alhaja Faidat Akitunde 

Also, she said her main job at the moment is to bring all aggrieved members back together as one into All Progressive Congress APC which the past leadership of the party at the local level were unable to actualize during their tenure, she said the party needs everyone towards winning the governorship seat for Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun mfr and all assembly members both in the state and the national assembly in Abuja. 

"I will continue to plead to the enemies of progress to desist from character assassination attempt to paint me the colour I am not, I believe in all-inclusive government just like our successful governor in Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun mfr." She added.

However she felicitated with Chief Yemi Sanusi, The Chairman of All Progressive Congress APC in Ogun state as he added another year to his age, while she prayed for more blessings and God's protection on him and his family. 

She commended Governor Prince Dapo Aboodun over the infrastructural projects across the state, prayed for more grease to his elbow and more power to do more for the people of Ogun State.
