OGUN ASSEMBLY TO COMMENCE 2021 BUDGET ASSESSMENT MONDAY

Ogun State House of Assembly will tomorrow, Monday, July 12th, 2021 commence the monitoring of this year’s Budget Performance on the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government as well as Local Government Councils in the State to ascertain their level of compliance with the 2021 Appropriation Law.

A release signed by the Clerk of the Assembly/ Head of Legislative Services, Mr. ‘Deji Adeyemo, indicated that the annual exercise which remained part of the oversight functions of the Legislative Arm of Government in promoting good governance, is in consonance with Sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as Amended).

The release added that the exercise, which is meant to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to the people, would commence 10:00am daily and end on Monday, 2nd August, 2021.

The release enjoined all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government as well as Local Government Councils to make available relevant documents and information to ensure the success of the exercise.
