The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has presented Certificates of Return to Hon. Ogunsola Adesina, the newly elected chairman of Obafemi-Owode Local Government.
The presentation was held on Monday July 26, 2021 at the OGSIEC headquarters in Abeokuta.
The Caveattimes News correspondent confirmed that 20 Executive Chairmen were elected during the Local Government Election held on Saturday July 24, 2021 across the state.
Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, the OGSIEC Chairman, guided Hon. Ogunsola and other elected Chairmen not to turn their back on the electorates who voted for them to govern the affairs of their respective Local Government Council Areas.
He exrayed to them to be diligent and equally ensured they put into effect the promises made during their electioneering.
On the scene with the OOLG elected Chairman, Hon. Ogunsola extended immense appreciation to the Governor of Of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for the security ensured in Ogun State before and after the LG election which made election to be free and fair in the State while also appreciating the political leaders in both Local Government and the State for their strategic processes that reflected the reality of his chairmanship Seat in OOLG
Further thanking the dwellers in the LG for given him their mandates in the election, that this administration that begins today in the LG; by the special Grace of Allah, will ensure dividends of democracy to the 12 Wards in OOLG.
