Welcoming the governor and his entourage on behalf of the good people of the council area, the chairman expressed profound appreciation for the governor's commitment to infrastructural development, noting that Obafemi Owode has continued to benefit immensely from the administration's people-centred projects.

He stated that the commissioning of Adesan Road marked another significant milestone in the developmental agenda of the state government, describing the project as a major boost to economic activities and the overall well-being of the residents.

According to him, the newly completed road occupies a strategic position within the local government, as it links residential communities, schools, healthcare facilities, commercial centres, and agricultural settlements, thereby improving connectivity and easing transportation challenges.

"The construction of Adesan Road has greatly enhanced mobility, reduced travel stress, improved access to homes, schools, healthcare facilities, businesses and agricultural communities. This project is another demonstration of Your Excellency's unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life of our people," Ogunsola said.

He revealed that the reconstruction of the 1.6-kilometre Adigbe–Idimango–Afobaje–Itabaale–Police Post Road has reached an advanced stage and is scheduled for commissioning on August 31, 2026.

He added that the one-kilometre Ogidan–Geleodun–Local Government Secretariat Road has already been completed and commissioned by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

While applauding the governor's achievements, the chairman passionately appealed for the reconstruction of additional critical roads within the council area.

Ogunsola noted that rehabilitating the identified roads would further improve transportation, stimulate commerce, enhance agricultural productivity and attract more investments into the local government.

The council chairman also reaffirmed the unwavering support of the people of Obafemi Owode for Governor Abiodun's administration and pledged total commitment to the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

"We want to assure Your Excellency of our continued loyalty and support. The good people of Obafemi Owode remain firmly behind your administration and we are committed to ensuring total victory for our great party, the APC, in the 2027 general elections," he declared.
