Official IWA Joins APC

A new entrant into the fold of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state, Mr. Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele has said he joined the party following mass defection of political heavyweight into the party.

IWA as fondly called said the defection was informed by the array of notable politicians into APC thereby making the state a one-party state.

The former Labour Party House of Assembly candidate disclosed this on Friday while defecting into the All Progressives Congress in Abeokuta South local government.

He said, "As you can see in Ogun state generally, there's nothing like two parties in Ogun state again, we only have one party. Ogun State is one party sate. All the past and present governors since 1999 we took over the democracy are now in APC."

Speaking on his contribution to the party, Igbalaye assured to continue his humanitarian programmes through his foundation.

He promised give scholarships to students, empower market women and bring betterment to the state at large.

Receiving the new defector to the party, the party Chairman in Abeokuta South local government, Chief Henry Fagbenro noted that Igbalaye Wasiu's defection was an addition to the party.

Chief Fagbenro further explained that, Igbalaye defection is a clear indication that, there was no opposition parties in Ogun state.

"This is another plus one for us.  It shows that, no other parties in Abeokuta south. We only have one party and that is APC and for him to have joined us shows he is somebody who has a vision and if you have a vision you must have ambition, so he is another pointer to that directive so coming on board is another plus one to us.

"You can't expect anything less, this is Abeokuta south and this is APC. Like I told you, no other parties, so we are going to win all through so with the crowd what is on ground before then where is other party they were not existing."
