POLICE WELFARE: LAGOS STATE COMMAND COMMENCES 2ND PHASE OF NHIS ENROLMENT FOR RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS

The Lagos State Police Command wishes to inform the general public, especially, all retired Police officers in Lagos State who were not captured in the 1st phase of the registration and capturing for all retired Police officers into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) that the 2nd phase of the exercise will commence on Monday, 22nd March - Thursday, 25th March, 2021.

According to pressure statement made available by CSP OLUMUYIWA ADEJOBI(mnipr) POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER, LAGOS STATE COMMAND, The exercise is scheduled to take place in all Area commands within the state; all retired police officers and their spouses, who were not captured during the 1st phase of the exercise, are enjoined to visit the nearest Area command headquarters with their letter of Retirement and Retiree's I.D card within the stipulated period.

The exercise is aimed at ensuring that no retired police officer, as well as his or her spouse, is left out of having full access to all NHIS services and benefits covered by the Police Health Maintenance Organization (Police-HMO) code-073, which is absolutely free without deductions from retirees monthly pension.

However, the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Command CP Hakeem Odumosu, while applauding the robust welfare package of the Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed Adamu Abubakar NPM, mni, enjoins all retirees yet to be captured to take this giant stride of the 2nd phase of the exercise for affordable health care services in retirement.
