As part of activities marking the burial of his late mother, Senior Revd Apostolic Mother Oluwayemisi Arike Shoyoye, the Director of Communication and Strategy of the Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole Campaign Organisation (ABOCO) and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Committee, Mr. Bosun Davies Shoyoye (BDS), has announced a one-day free medical and eye care outreach for residents of Omi Adio and neighbouring communities.
The initiative was made public in a statement jointly signed by the Shoyoye and Adeosun families, describing the outreach as a tribute to the life and legacy of the departed matriarch.
According to the statement, the free medical outreach will hold on Friday, 26 December, at the residence of the late Senior Revd Apostolic Mother Shoyoye, located in the Oke Ola area of Omi Adio town, between 10:00am and 1:30pm. Beneficiaries will receive free medical consultations, general health screenings, free drugs, eye examinations, and prescription eyeglasses, all at no cost.
The families explained that the programme was conceived to honour the memory of their mother, whom they described as a woman of deep faith, compassion, and service, whose life was dedicated to the wellbeing of others.
“The outreach reflects the values our mother lived by—selflessness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to humanity,” the statement noted, adding that the family hopes the initiative will bring relief and support to members of the community she loved so dearly.
Also scheduled for Friday is a Service of Songs and Night of Tributes, which will take place at Tafo Grace Event Hall, Owode 1st Gate, Apata, Ibadan, starting from 4:00pm. The event is expected to draw family members, church leaders, friends, associates, and well-wishers who will gather to celebrate her life, faith, and enduring impact.
According to the burial programme, the Burial Service will be held on Saturday, 27 December, at her residence, after which a private interment will take place exclusively for family members.
The statement further disclosed that a reception will be hosted at Tafo Grace Event Hall, Owode 1st Gate, Apata, Ibadan, where guests will be entertained in appreciation of their prayers, support, and solidarity with the family during the period of mourning.
Expressing gratitude to members of the public, the Shoyoye and Adeosun families thanked all those who have shown goodwill and compassion, describing the late Senior Revd Apostolic Mother Oluwayemisi Arike Shoyoye as a devoted servant of God, a pillar of her community, and a loving mother whose influence and legacy will continue to resonate across generations.
