Central Coordinate Movement CCM Pledges Support for Senator Yayi’s 2027 Gubernatorial Ambition, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for Second Term

Members of the Central Coordinate Movement (CCM) have declared their readiness to work with Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon, popularly known as YAYI, to actualise his governorship ambition ahead of the 2027 Ogun State election, also declared their support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu second term election.

The group made this known during a strategic meeting held during the week in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State. The Ogun West Senator and governorship aspirant was represented at the meeting by Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun and Hon. Yemi Adelani, popularly called Igwe. The meeting took place at the premises of Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun.


CCM, a socio-political movement with strong grassroots presence, operates across the six local government areas that make up the Ogun Central Senatorial District. These include Abeokuta South, Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, Ifo, Ewekoro, and Odeda local government areas.














Speaking at the gathering, the Chairman of the group, Alhaji Taiwo Elewide, widely known as Big Champion, Akile Egbaland, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to mobilising massive grassroots support for Senator Yayi. He noted that CCM has an established structure across communities in Ogun Central, which would be effectively deployed to support Yayi’s aspiration, pending his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Alhaji Elewide, CCM is prepared to engage in voter mobilisation, political sensitisation, and strategic grassroots coordination to ensure widespread acceptance of Senator Yayi’s vision for Ogun State. He emphasized that the group believes in Yayi’s leadership capacity, legislative experience, and commitment to good governance.

In their responses, Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun and Hon. Yemi Adelani conveyed Senator Yayi’s appreciation to the group for their show of solidarity and confidence. They assured CCM members that Senator Yayi remains committed to inclusive leadership, grassroots development, and policies that would positively impact all zones of the state.

The meeting ended on a note of unity and renewed political engagement, as CCM members reiterated their resolve to work tirelessly toward the success of Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon Yayi’s governorship bid in 2027, should he secure the APC ticket.
