A group of concerned citizens of Ago Iwoye in Ijebu North ll State Constituency, DAPO ABIODUN FRONTLINERS has called on the Governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun to concede the position of Commissionership to the area.

DAPO ABIODUN FRONTLINERS FORUM is an affiliate of the ruling party, APC, working towards the advancement of good people of Ifelodun Constituency in Ogun State and promoting the good governance of the present administration in the state under the leadership of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR.

In a press conference held in Ago Iwoye on Monday 15th, March, the group under the agies of D.A FRONTLINERS IFELODUN, the Chairman of the group, Prince Adetayo Adenusi, call on the Governor to concede the  Commissionership to the area since the position of the Deputy Speaker which was formerly occupied by the constituency has been taken to Ogun Waterside State Constituency following the impeachment of the former Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Dare Kadiri Maba.

The forum opined that it is pertinent that the Governor accede to the forums demand so that the political sharing equation of Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency will correct the anomaly, created by the unfortunate impeachment of the former Deputy Speaker and the subsequent taken of the position to Ogun Waterside State Constituency.

The group also noted that the call on the Governor to do the needful is necessary to avoid unfairly placement of Ago Iwoye and the entire Ifelodun state Constituency in the state executive council since Ogun Waterside State Constituency who lost the position of Commissionership as a result of the resignation of the former Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun who hail from Ogun Waterside State Constituency, has been compensated with the position of the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly. Also Ijebu North ll State Constituency (Ifelodun) should be given the position of commissionership.

“We therefore urge the Governor to show progressive leadership by consent to our request.”
