From Grass To Grace: Young man who used to sell yoghurt with bicycle finally becomes university student

A young man identified as Adom-Ba Lucky, has finally become a university student after years of selling on the streets and saving some money for his education.

The Ghanaian man, according to a report by Abandaily, was able to finish BECE in 2012 but had been unable to continue education until 2016 due to paucity of funds.

According to the Adom, his father decided not to take responsibility for him because he asked the mother to abort him when she was pregnant but she refused.

After his BECE, the resilient lad went to his mother in 2013 at Sogakope where he engaged in hawking by selling bread along the Accra-Lome highway inside Sogakope.

He was not able to make sufficient income from it, so he joined Fanmilk Ltd Sogakope branch, where he made fruitful savings from town folks who patronised his ice cream and meat pie products on daily basis.

However, this was still not enough for him to get the required amount to further his education.

He then took on multiple jobs, from acting roles and to working as a pantry boy in an Indian restaurant to gather sufficient revenue.

Fortunately for the determined young man he was able to get enough money to further his high school education in September 2016.

Adom-Ba Lucky is currently a Bachelor of Science in Nursing student at Pentecost University, PU, in Sowutuom, Accra, under a scholarship by the Church of Pentecost, Tema Area.
