Nigeria Labour Congress, Women Committee, Ogun State has organized an event to educate the young girls on the tagged "Women In Leadership: Towards Achieving Equal Opportunities For All In A Covid-19 World." today 11th of March 2021. 

The event was in commemoration of 2021 International Women's Day Celebration in the world.








In attendance was Hon Lanre Edun, Member House of Reps, Abeokuta South represented by Mrs Adebola Sunday, Women Leader Abeokuta South, Hon Adijat Adeleye, Special Assistant To Governor Abiodun on Women Affairs ,Comrade Olujimi Adekunle David Desmond, Chairmship Aspirant Abeokuta South, Olatunji Ishola TJ, Chairmanship aspirant Abeokuta North local government.
 
During the programme, secondary school girls was lectured on how to how to achieve their goals using nearest opportunities during Covid-19 pandemic.


"I am elated by the quality of questions asked by the girl child after the guest lecturer which makes me believe we have a brighter future, change doesn't come easily, America was not like how it is before but due to how some women stood up to the challenge and today we have an achievement as we have the first female vice president in the history of the United States of America today." Said Hon Adijat Adeleye.
"For so long we have been tormented by our religions which has made many girls child loose their goals, we must by all means disallow our gender, religion and beliefs affect our talent as a girl child, I attain the house of assembly at the age of 30 because I never listened to the people who always give me negative inspiration on my age, don't be a bad example of what girl can do, you have to do three times better than what a man can do, we must stand up and say no to stereotype..." Hon Adijat Adeleye added.
She also advised the parents to train the children sam way without making a male to feel he is superior than the females. 

The secondary school girls available are from Abeokuta Girls Grammar School, Abeokuta Grammar School, Reverend Kuti Memorial College among others.

Oluwatoyin Olubukola Sogbesan, MD Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation OGBC was awarded
