Hon. Adeleye Adebiyi has declared war on all diseases afflicting Remo land by launching environmental health outfit.

Hon. Adeleye launched the outfit named “Remo Environmental Health Initiative” today at Sabo Garage at Isara, Remo North local government in Ogun state.

While welcome the guests, he said it has been his plan to do it before the outbreak of COVID 19 but has to be on hold until now. “It is done now in Remoland to complement the efforts of Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun in making sure that the citizenry of the state are free from the pandemic”.










Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye who is also the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs, added that the decontamination and fumigation will be done in all markets, motor parks and all places that have concentration of the people. The exercise which is to last for six months kicked off at the palace of Oba Albert Adebose Mayungbe Odemo of Isara land. Adeleye believed in living among his people and ready to attend to their needs.

The program coordinator, Dr. Akinyele Cyril Babasope,  in his address said that “The times we are in the world at large and most importantly Nigeria in particular requires cost controlling measures in view of the negative impact of COVID 19 on the economy which has resulted in reduction of purchasing power due to low per capital input”
“Health as we know is wealth. The health of our environment is an extension of our health as a people”

“The cost of maintaining our health as a family could be better channelled into creating wealth. For example, the least amount that hospital will charge for treating malaria cannot be less than N5,000. This amount amongst others could be saved only if our environment is kept free of vectors causing malaria (mosquitoes)”
“There are diseases that could have been taken care of before they attack us, yet we have for long neglected the need to keep our environment free of terrible diseases”

He also applauded the convener of the program “to keep our people alive, healthy and wealthy, Hon. Adeleye Adebiyi today is declaring war on all manners of diseases and the agents causing them through this Environmental Health Initiative that will see to fumigation of Remo land” 

The speaker from University of Ibadan, Dr. Saheed Ojolowo charged the people on a team, “decontamination and fumigation of Remo land, a leap for healthy living” telling to know that pest is a common destroyer that lives in our environment. We should be ready to eradicate its existence in our places. We must also put more effort to make sure that our homes are in good hygiene .

Among the guests that grace the occasion are the Caretaker Chairmen of three local governments representing Remo land, Honourables Gbenga Banjo, Rotimi Akinsanya, Hon. Taiwo Sonuyi, Hon. Sesan Asenuga (General Manager Park and Garage),  Dr. Dapo Odukoya, Olori Osiberu Elepe of Epe, Olori  Mayungbe Odemo of Isara,  Olori Olabinjo Eleposo of Eposo,,Alhaja Awofeso (Member Ogun state Hospital Management Board) among  other dignatories and political wigs in Remo land.
