Some candidates who were unable to view the outcome of the examination results are currently in a state of confusion, this is why we want to clear the air as regards to what must have result to their results not published in the website. Read on to discover what actually amounted to the withholding of results in Ekiti State.

Candidates in Ekiti State were disappointed as they were told that their results are yet to be published whereas other states and probably private schools in the state had seen theirs.

There was initially rumours that the results were not released because the government of the state was owing WAEC.

The government of the state undertook fee WAEC policy for all the public school students in the state since the inception of Fayemi’s second term in 2018.

The state government has been responsible for paying the WAEC fee of all candidates in public schools.

When the Commissioner for Information in the state, Akin Ompleting was contacted, he debunked the rumour that results were withheld due to unpaid debt.

The Commissioner rather noted that the results were not released because of mistakes in computation made by WAEC not because of debt.

He also said that the government has reached WAEC regarding the development and it apologised to the state.

The Commissioner also speak to affected candidates, that they should not entertain any fear because the government is taking care of the issue.

WAEC announced that the results will be released either on Thursday or Friday.
