Gov Abiodun Expresses Optimism In Hon Abiodun Akinlade

The executive governor of Ogun State, Dr. Dapo Abiodun, has expressed optimism that the appointment of Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade will bring positive impact and progress to the state and Nigeria at large. The governor also used the occasion to congratulate the Ogun State’s Federal Commissioner at the Federal Character Commission, FCC, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade, over his appointment while stating that he is the perfect fit for the job.

Abiodun made this known when the latter paid a courtesy visit to the governor at his office in Abeokuta in the state’s capital.

The governor in his reaction believed that Akinlade experience as a lawmaker in the lower chamber at the National Assembly positioned him as the right choice for the good people of Ogun State.

 
“I congratulated Hon. Abiodun Akinlade, Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State in the Federal Character Commission, who was on a courtesy visit to my office in Abeokuta.

The experiences he garnered in his three terms in the House of Representatives convince me that the Federal Commissioner is well prepared for his new responsibilities,” the governor said.

On his part, Hon. Akinlade appreciated the good works of the governor since inception of his administration in the gateway state and also updated him on his stewardship at the commission.

“This evening, I paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun – MFR. I used the occasion to appreciate the Governor on his many achievements since he assumed office."


Speaking further, the Federal Character Commissioner said he used the occasion to intimate him on the activities of the commission while seeking areas of cooperation from the government. He said, "I also briefed him on what the Federal Character Commission in the state is doing at ensuring the state gets all that is due to it in terms of human resources and capital infrastructure."

Hon. Akinlade while expressing satisfaction with his meeting with the governor noted that "The governor in turn assured even distribution of projects and appointments among the sociopolitical landscape representing the state”.

The meeting later went into closed door where the governor and his visitor discuss other state matters.
