Abeokuta- There was a mild drama in the state capital of Ogun State as Soldiers in their tens reportedly sent the Traffic wardens of Nigeria Police and TRACE officials off the major road at Oju-Irin area of Lafenwa, Abeokuta, thereby taking control of the traffic post.

Our Reporters gathered that at exactly 7am today, Wednesday, The Traffic wardens and TRACE officials had resumed back at the place after some days the hoodlums sent them packing from the road during the #EndSARS protest. It was reported that Police and TRACE officials took to their heels when the soldiers arrived this morning.

The military men numbering up to 10, fully armed with guns had taken over the control of traffic during the protest, ensuring orderliness at Lafenwa.

Meanwhile, in another report, Last Friday, some youths believed to be SawMill and Sabo Youths challenged the authority of the Soldiers at the place whereby leading to misunderstand between the soldiers and the Youths, but the intervention of Superior officer of Nigerian Army, an unnamed female Major averted what could have been another ugly incident at the place. Since then the military had taken over the traffic control.
