In continuation of the Ogun State Government's resolve to ensure its workforce benefits from its Palliatives distribution project, the government has announced that it is now the turn of Local government workers in the State.

This is contained in a press statement issued by Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr Femi Ogunbanwo, saying the decision followed the earlier distribution of the food palliatives to workers in the state civil service two weeks ago.

Ogunbanwo in the statement revealed that the gesture followed the Governor's directive to ensure that all  workers across the strata of the State Public Service were captured in the distribution being partners in progress with government.

He noted that the distribution will take effect from today Thursday 27th August, 2020 to Friday 28th August, 2020 from 9am to 3pm daily.

He therefore enjoined all the 20 Local Government across the state to ensure that the allocated items are collected on the specified days as no additional period will be given and that any Local Government Council that fails to collect before the said date will forfeit the opportunity to partake in this exercise.

Ogunbanwo further stated that the distribution of food palliatives will also be extended to the Federal Government workers in the state.
