The good people of Ogun State will agree with me that things have not been moving as fast as expected recently and some might even want to assume that the Governor is slow but if we would be sincere with ourselves, we would have to cut the Governor some slack, the reason for this is not far fetched, the impact of the dreaded COVID 19 and the subsequent global economic meltdown / recession has also had its tolls on Ogun State.
Notwithstanding, the Governor is toiling day and night to fulfil his electioneering promises to Ogun people, the effects might not be seen early enough but believe me, the Governor is seriously working for the progress of Ogun State.
The state wide road constructions have been seriously disturbed by the heavy raining season but work will continue in earnest as we are gradually moving towards the August break. In terms of healthcare, the efforts of the State Government in flattening the COVID 19 curve is evidently clear, also primary healthcare for the citizenry and more emphasis on equipping the hitherto abandoned state hospitals is underway. On education and housing, the state government is making significant progress.
I implore Ogun indigenes to exercise a little patient with our amiable Governor- Prince Dapo Abiodun as things will soon begin to take shape with time and of course, before the third quarter of this regime, we would have seen that Prince Dapo Abiodun is indeed a blessing to Ogun State and by extension, Nigeria as a whole.
Finally, to His Exellency, I say SLOW but STEADY and FOCUS as you continue to take Ogun State to greater heights.
