The rising profiles of bishop Isaac Idahosa continues to extend further as he fulfilled his long awaited date with Widows and Widowers as a result of the deadly virus that has been ravaging the world, provides them succor, relief materials, giving out gifts in cash and kind. Illumination Assembly, God First Ministries, Ajah Lagos on Saturday July 11th was a stand still as thousands of widows and widowers was seen come to participate in the relief materials shared by Archbishop Designate Isaac Idahosa, social distancing Covid-19 precautionary measure was fully observed. The occasion was in collaboration with The Directorate of Strategy and Planning, Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN), Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria(PFN), and Women Wing of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.
YOU HAVE GIVEN PALLIATIVE TO PASTORS, NEIGHBORS, MEMBERS AND NOW WIDOWS/WIDOWERS, WHY?
We must keep on duplicating God's goodness as much as we are reflecting the goodness of the Lord. We don't give because we have so much, we give because we cares so much. It's one of the thing Jesus instructed. True religion is affecting the widows and widowers in the society too. When you see us doing this we are showing the love of God. We have experienced love so we are sharing love, we have experienced God's kindness, we are as well giving the same out. We can't do enough for them. Every other person cares for any other person but as for widows we must do something about them.
LOTS OF PEOPLE ARE NOT MAKING MONEY, ESPECIALLY DURING THIS LOCK DOWN EXERCISES. SOME ARE COMPLAINING OF STARVATION, DELAYED OF INCOME, BUT WITHIN 5 MONTH YOU HAVE BEEN THERE PROVIDING SUCCOR TO THE LESS PRIVILEGED. WHAT MOTIVATED YOU INTO DOING THIS?
It's the love of God and for Humanity. Until God disconnect you from Greediness, you will not be connected to Greatness. From the little you get, share it. Its about the heart. Your heart determines your height. Whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren, Jesus said you have done it unto me. 5 month? It's not like that is that easy, it's not bed of roses but I just decided within myself that impact is necessary for life. It is out of what gave to me that I shared to them. No local or international donations from anywhere.
IS THERE ANY MODE OF SELECTION AMONG THE WIDOWS/WIDOWERS?
No. There is no celection. To have it clear, I have to make it open to the true Christian umbrellas in the likes of CAN, PFN, and as many that would have seen the advert through within the widows in the church. We are not celectives. Once you are a widow and you are there, then you have it. In fact there are some Muslims came and I am glad to see them come to participate. That's what it takes to have the love of God.
NIGERIANS ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR TOLERANCE AND ENDURANCE. THEY EMBRACED THE LOCKDOWN AS A MEASURE TO CURTAIL THE VIRUS. IS THAT REALLY THE SOLUTION?
We must give all it takes but we must not rule God out of it. Lock down has got it own advantage and in every difficulties there are opportunities and in every opportunities there are difficulties. We must be able to know what to do and how to do them. In other places that I know civilized or developed countries, they makes palliatives very accessible to their citizens, so it makes a cushioning effects to be found where the lock down is enforced. When you lock people down and there is nothing to feed on then it makes no meaning. Hunger virus has killed more than corona virus. Its good to apply a whole lot of wisdom. Businesses are crumbling and collapsing, finances are in shambles, people cannot feed themselves, so we must be able to balance them.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE REMAINING PART FOR THE YEAR, I MEAN LIFE AFTER COVING?
We are still very hopeful. You Plan as if you don't know how to Pray, then Pray as if you don't know how to Plan. You strive a balance. We must be hopeful. I heard people says 2020 is gone, it's not gone. Whatever you say is what you see. Keep believing in God, keep praying and let God do the best for us. But we must always keep Hope Alive, let's not entertain fear, when you tolerate Fear, you contaminate Faith. Don't go to places they will say the year is finished. Just believe that God can do anything within any moment.
