Abeokuta - The Commandant of Vigilante Group of Nigeria VGN in Ogun State, Olanrewaju Nureni Adedoyin has informed the general public to ensure they reckon with the bona-fide officers of the group.

He cleared the air on the insinuation of some of their members who are planning to form a parallel executives within the state.

Adedoyin while speaking with Amebo correspondent during the joint task force of mobile court patrol today said "There has been suspicious movement of the hoodlums in VGN uniform who are not authentic members of the group." he said.

" We assure the good people of Ogun to remain calm and maintain social distancing regulation stipulated by the state government to further curb the widespread of Covid-19 in the state, Our men are actively involved in maintenance of law and order on the roads to implement the FG regulations" Adedoyin added.

Adedoyin further explained the court judgement between Late Ali Sokoto and Dr Usman Mohammad Jahun FSI where the court upheld Jahun as the authentic commandant general in Nigeria.

"It is criminal move for some set of hoodlums to parade themselves as members of VGN in the state without proper recognition by the state command, anyone caught in the act shall face the law without any fair hearing" Adedoyin reacted.
