The chairman, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide and members of the transition committee meets with the management of the Ogun State water corporation.
The Abeokuta South Local Government transition committee chairman led by the Chairman Hon. Ayodeji Shomide has paid a courtesy visitation to the Ogun State Water Corporation today.
The purpose of the visit, was to discuss the issue of water scarcity in Abeokuta South Local Government Area, the General Manager Engr. Oluseye Olugbenga Maku disclosed to the chairman and his team that the recent scarcity of water was a result of the recent road constructions and extensions in Abeokuta south which had damaged some water supply pipes.
He stated that repair works is going on at the main water supply plant and that in the next few days, water will be pumped and the faulty areas of the pipes will be identified for immediate repair.
He promised there will adeauate water supply in Abeokuta south metropolis from next week.
