Police Arrest Four Saboteurs Of Lagos-Ibadan Railway Project

Four suspects who hijacked two TRUCKs 
loaded with 9,000 and 10,000 litres of diesel each belonging to CCECC Nigeria Limited, the company incharge of the construction of parts of the Lagos-Ibadan Rail line project in Oyo state, located at Ologuneru area of Ibadan have been arrested.

A GENLYON 004 TRUCK loaded with (9,000) litres of diesel belonging to CCECC Nigeria Limited, located at Ologuneru Area of Ibadan was hijacked at Akufo Farm settlement, Ido Area, of Oyo state from company's driver on Zakariya Seriki 'M' and LI Hua 'M' a foreign national attached to the truck and was taken away to an unknown destination.

Upon the receipt of the distress call, a combined team of SARS, AKS, Puff Adder and Skynet operatives swung into action and in the process, one of the hijacked truck with 10,000 litres was immediately recovered at Soka area, Ibaadan where it was abandoned by one of the fleeing hoodlums who later identified himself as Ogunsola Ayomide 'M' who was arrested in connection with the crime.

Upon interrogation, he confessed to have conspired with the driver of the truck and some other hoodlums to mastermind the criminal act.

His confessional statement later led to the recovery of the second truck and the arrest of the driver, Zakariya Seriki 'M' and two other suspects; Olaide Olalere and Adetunji Abiola in their various hide-out at Owode area, Ogun state and Muslim area, Toll-Gate Ibadan, Oyo state respectively and they confessed to have received the 9,000 lites of diesel from the driver and other suspects.

Investigation was said to be in progress while effort is being intensified to arrest other fleeing members of the gang.
