Tragedy struck in the wee hours of the night on Monday,November 25 at a Factory which locally produces oil from Palm nuts,located at Borehole,Ojuore Ota,Ogun state.
Reports have it that the owner of the factory and boy in charge were saved by whiskers as the fire started shortly after they left around 11:30pm.
Although no life was lost in the incident,the fire would have spread to other shops in the vicinity if not for the timely intervention of the Ota fire service as they came through and saved the day.
The firefighters also used the opportunity to enlighten people around on the need to have fire extinguishers at home as it would serve as a first aid measure for cases like this before professional firefighters come around.
