Abeokuta- One of the front line aspirant of Abeokuta South local government in the forthcoming election, Akintunde Farouk has said he is qualified and ready to explore his wealth of experience in governing the people of Abeokuta South.
He said this in the celebration of appeal court victory party for Prince Dapo Abiodun by some of the leaders in the local government.
While speaking to our correspondent, he restate his willingness, with his wealth of experience and years of active service at the local government, he is ever ready to govern his people, saying his priority is to provide good infrastructure to his people.
Also, he said he is committed to providing social amenities to the working class and elites as the closest arms of government to the grassroots.
"I am not ready to condemn the past administration in Abeokuta South local government, the likes of Dare Gbolahan, Prince Yanju Lipede has done their best in putting things together in the best interest of the people and I am willing to do more." Akintunde said.
"My focus will be on the new settlements which has no good roads, education is also my priority as I have distributed free exercise books and other writing materials to almost all the primary school pupil in Abeokuta South to enhance their studying." he added.
Akintunde said his mission and visions will be in line with Prince Dapo Abiodun blueprint to ensure all the promises made to the grassroots is well implemented and complemented through the local government administration.
"I am ready to work with the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun towards delivering dividends of democracy to the grassroots." - Akintunde
He concluded that there is no faction in All Progressive Congress APC in Abeokuta South, interest is only divided based on defection from different groups.
