Transport Union Committee seeks Assembly's cooperation in generating more revenue

 The Chairman of the  Transport Union Committee in Ogun State, Barrister Sunday Adeniyi has  sought the support of the State Assembly to generate more revenue for the state.

Adeniyi made this appeal while appearing before the Assembly members led by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Oludare Kadiri at the Assembly Complex , Oke-Mosan , Abeokuta.

He narrated how he curbed corruption, increased revenue by 300% in transport sector in the state.

He solicited for a more cordial relationship with the Lawmakers to further consolidate on the existing peace and tranquility being enjoyed in the State;  promising to continue to engage the House and other stakeholders in the task of streamlining the activities of the transport sector in the State.

He said, "the committee has made more revenue for the state compare to what last administration generated".

He attributed the steady rise in the collection figures to a series of initiatives adopted and implemented by the committee to enhance tax administration.

Responding, the Deputy Speaker,  Hon. Kadir enjoined the Committee to carry along all  relevant stakeholders in the sector to further engender peace and progress of the State.
