Dear Sir,

CAN ELECTION; A RACE BETWEEN A CUSH AN AHIMAZ.

Happy father's day sir.

Father's day; is one of reflection of the success or failure we have made of fatherhood.

One of the challenges of fatherhood is the burden of the role model it must be to the generation of their sons and daughters, more challenging is "God's" epitome that divinity has bestow on us to reflect, this tasks are arduous to a man like you who is charged with providing fatherly inspiration to over a hundred million christians who look up to you, I must say that I don't envy you sir.

Much has you have struggled to leave up to this expectation before God and man, in all honesty your tenure in the past few years, though, at a critical time the church is been persecuted, you have failed to be proactive at providing focused and inspirational leadership required of the time we are in.

I need not be-laboured you with the catalogue of failure the association has experienced under your oversight. Please, be reminded however of my opinion in which I registered my disappointment of your CAN led leadership at visiting President Mohammadu Buhari to congratulate him on his re-election, when the official report of the European Union speaks volumes on the war unleashed on Nigerians in the name of 2019 elections, if EU can be shunned by your leadership, should the report of Catholic Mission Electoral Observers be discountenanced by Christian Association of Nigeria? Contrasting the report of the Catholic Mission Electoral Observers with the shameful congratulatory visit the Villa, which if necessary could have been done with a letter, but the gluttonous lots rode on the desperation of a government seeking credibility to present themselves for gifts. It is certain you have lost touch with the body of faith you were elected to represent and if I were you, I will tow the path of honour by withdrawing from this election. 

After I expressed my opinion of you publicly,, you sent me a text massage, as a follow up to your calls which I missed, requesting to know why I had to write such public note while I have personal access to you, the reasons for choicing public mediun at reaching you is not the essence for this letter.

I will like to remind you of the fact of the scriptures, there will always be tidings to bear, but we must not loose sight of a comprehending truth that there is also one upon whom the duty must fall by divine election and experience to bear the tidings. You have bore the tidings unfortunately to the division of your constituency; the church, more than any other time since the creation of the association. 

Your presidency wss in hope and expectations, but what a disaster your tenure as been to the church.   

You have stood in the court of the king without the requsite boldness required of your office, your heart had failed to show the courage needed to lead over 100 million Christian faithfuls, targeted for elimination through the Boko Haram and Herdsmen conspiracy theories.

As it was in king David's time, the church has waited for a certain news of an end to this conspiracy against her, of a son who for personal aggrandizement traded the honour and kingdom of his Father.

 Rev. Dr.  Supo Ayokunle, you were head hunted to run the race at the last election, but like Ahimaz you  ran through the way of the plains, avoiding the hills and the mountain, which are needed sacrifices and commitment leadership must show. You have stood before the king with wrong tidings, seeking aggrandizement, while our faith is on fire.

The time has come to ask you to stand aside for one, who like Cush is found fit to be the harbinger of the tidings of God and his people that the palace must hear. One who has capacity to interpret the hands writings of Jehovah upon the wall of our nation.

May I advise you in the interests of the kingdom and of the need to salvage your intergrity to please withdraw from this election. 

This is without prejudice to your person, but the expectations of the office for which you are presenting yourself, the last 3 years as proven your inability to show capacity; matching the expectations of a persecuted church.

I hope you will do the needful by withdrawing from this election, and if you take advantage of your incumbency to manipulate the electoral college at returning you, the consequences of it will be beyond time, for you must be reminded that after time comes eternity when all we stand before God to give account of our stewardship.

Sir, I love you with the love of the Lord, same love by which am compelled to speak the truth only to you. I hope you will appreciate that the challenges before the church sentiment can't superitend.

There is life outside CAN presidency, that I hope you will seek in your own interest sir. May you find the courage to act now. It is never too late to do the right thing.
