When Yemi Alade won the "Peak Talent Show" in 2009 many wondered what next. Not because she did not have the talent, she certainly did and still does, but because history had shown us that previous winners of various talent shows did not do so well afterwards. Yes, they had potential, but for one reason or the other they just did not live up to it.
Yemi Alade's story was literally on that same path until her break in 2014 with the single, "Johnny" from her debut album, "King of Queens". This marked the turn for her as she toured various African countries performing. Anyways, while her music journey is inspiring, that is not what this article is about.
You will agree that Yemi is an electric performer, her live music performances contain everything she has, and in the same manner, her fashion sense contains everything she has as well.
Yemi Alade always appears colourful and creative. Her fashion style is a blend of being wild and maintaining class and swag at the same time. One thing she is definitely known for is her hairstyles. Just like it is with her attires, when it comes to styling her hair, Yemi is a pro! She sometimes gives outrageous looks, while sometimes she gives calm ones.
Yemi is a lover of fashion and style. In fact, in 2016, she made her fashion debut at the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria runway with her personal line, House of Tangerine (H.O.T). H.O.T portrays creativity and colour in their looks, giving you that African look that distincts you from people around.
Yemi Alade also, on her part, usually appears to have that typical African Woman Style in most of her looks. She most times rocks African fabrics and she does them well. She is also a role model to many when it comes to her fashion style.
