
The lawmaker representing Ijebu-North / Ijebu-East / Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honorable Adekoya Adesegun Abdel-Majid made the call in a goodwill message to the Nigerian Muslim community on the commencement of Ramadan season.
He admonished the Muslim faithful to always replicate in their daily lives, the spirit of sacrifice, forgiveness, self denial and piety associated with the Holy month of Ramadan.

"As the fourth pillar of Islam, Ramadan fast is a significant act of worship which among others, teaches compassion, love, sacrifice, good neighborliness and peaceful coexistence", Adekoya stated.
Continuing, Adekoya said, "While urging you to use this golden opportunity to pray for the country and it's economic revival, I also enjoin you to always reflect on the virtues of forgiveness, abstinence and genuine love towards one another and make them integral part of your daily lives".
Honorable Adekoya, who commended the resilience and sacrifice of all Nigerians in the face of current economic challenges, expressing optimism that with continued prayers the country will have a faithful leaders.
Hon. Abdel-Majid also urged them to sustain the noble ways that had endeared them to almighty God.
Consequently, he extended his joyful appreciation to muslim clerics who charitably and meritoriously guide the good people of the Islamic faith throughout the thirty days period.
