A young man identified as Kelvin Isaiah has been beaten beyond recognition after he threatened a young girl and took her phone at about 8:40pm on Sunday, in Bayelsa state.
A Bayelsa State Volunteer Security Outfit in collaboration with the community Vigilante group operating in Akenfa, Yenagoa, arrested the 24-year-old criminal who disclosed the identity of his accomplice as Edward alias Seselo who is currently at large.
The victim, Miss Chioma Daminola who confirmed the incident to security agencies, said she was on her way home when two men accosted her and took her phone forcefully from her.
The suspect has been handed over to the Nigerian Police, Akenfa Division.
