ABEOKUTA - The embattled Labour Party Chairman in Ogun State, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi has described his suspension by IPAC Disciplinary Committee and the protest by the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) as an APC induced protest with the aim of compelling him to withdraw the Labour Party petition against the ruling party and the governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun at the tribunal, saying he would continue with the case.
The students body had on Thursday staged a protest walk within Abeokuta metropolis calling on the anti-corruption agencies to investigate the Labour Party Chairman of financial mismanagement, just 24 hours he was suspended by members of Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC).
But Arabambi in his reaction, described the students action as APC sponsored protest to witch-hunt him and intimidate him from withdrawing his petition against APC and the Governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun at the Election Petition Tribunal in the state.
He said, " This is not a serious issue as far as I am concerned, the boy who led this protest is the Campaign Deputy Director for youths and students of Dapo Abiodun campaign organisation, and he who pay the viper dictates the tone.
"This is clearly another child move by the APC to make me withdraw my petition from the tribunal but I want to loudly say again that, it can't work and I will not withdraw this case.
" You can imagine that, the boy in question has been in school for almost 20 years now, How can a boy like that speak and I will be taking it serious, but even at that, I am responding now just to reiterate that I, Abayomi Arabambi will not withdraw our petition and to as well send him back to his paymasters.
"Also I want to advise him as a father that he should face his studies squarely and not allow anyone use him for selfish interest, the same interest that will better the lots of their own children interest." He added
