...Grants LP Access To Substitute Motion File
The election petition tribunal sitting on Wednesday has granted Labour Party access to substitute petition to access and examine motion files EPT/OG/GOV/03/2019 on the 3rd of April with the matter of the election to the office of the Governor of Ogun State held on 9th of March 2019 between The governorship candidate of LP, Modupeola Sanyaolu, Labour Party and Prince Dapo Abiodun, All Progressive Congress APC, The Resident INEC commissioner in Ogun State.
According to Labour Party counsel, O.H Balogun supported by M.O Mawah, Akinwunmi Ogunranti, Tosin Oloyede, Kazeem Oliyide The motion ex parte brought to pursuant to section 8 (2) of the first schedule to the electoral act of 2010 (As Amended) and under the inherent jurisdiction of the most distinguished tribunal.
An order of this Honorable Tribunal granting leave to Petitioners/Applicant to effect service of the petition and all other Court processes in the matter on the 1st Respondent by substituted means; to with: Publication of same in two National Dailies that is, the Punch and The Nigerian Tribune Newspapers.

In response to Balogun's prayer, The members of the tribunal dismissed the application filed on 3rd of April as void and comply with the motion of the April 9th 2019.
The counsel also pray for order granting the petitioners and the applicant grant of court processes to be published on two national dailies ( Punch and Tribune) respectively.
"The tribunal hereby ordered the services of the originating process by producing two publications from national dailies presented before the court by the first applicant, the court is hereby adjourned till 15th of April 2019. Tribunal said."
The members of the tribunal asked the counsel the proof of service which he responded that he will produce an affidavit and newspaper publications before the court.
The hearing for effectiveness has been adjourned to 15th of April 2018.
