Reports from Adamawa State has it that the voting process has been concluded in all the 44 Polling Units across the 14 LGAs in Adamawa State where the Independent National Electoral Commission has conducted supplementary polls on Thursday.
The exercise has been adjugded to be generally peaceful, although as reported by Naija News, the voter turn out was quite low.
The rerun election is a straight battle between the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Hammadu Fintiri, and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, and incumbent governor of the state, Jubrilla Bindow.
Before today’s supplementary elections, the PDP candidate had 367,471 votes while the candidate of the APC had 334,995 votes.
With voting over, sorting and counting has now begun across the various polling units. As at the time of filing this report however, counting of polls have began.

The voting process has ended in some of the polling units in Yola south and Michika LGAs. Sorting and counting of votes ongoing.
There has not been any case of failure on the part of electoral officials and materials in most of the polling units where the rerun is holding.
APC’S ‘PARTIAL BOYCOTT’, TOO
Another reason for the voter apathy, TheCable learnt, is because of the passiveness of the APC in the rerun. The party’s agents are absent in some of the polling units visited.
WHY VOTERS DID NOT TURN OUT ENMASSE
TheCable learnt the rerun is not recording large voter turn out majorly because it is holding on a weekday, so most voters are at work.
