Political parties are pivotal structures in maintaining , actualizing and improving the democratic process in any state. The leadership of NAPS- the umbrella body of all polytechnics/monotechnics and colleges of education, understands the essence of politics in our society.
Hence, we use this medium to appreciate the efforts of a major political party in the nation. Especially the Ogun state chapter of the People's Democratic Party.
Good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, no wonder party faithfuls have identified with the amiable character of Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele. They took a bold step in the right direction by electing Hon Sikirulai Ogundele as their State chairman at the just concluded congress of the party which held at the state secretariat on Saturday, 4th November, 2017.
National Association of Polytechnic Students NAPS through a congratulatory message jointly signed by Comrade Simileoluwa Liyele Director of Publicity II and Comrade Ijaduoye Olasunkanmi Adetoye National Public Relations Officer States We hereby, congratulate Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele on this milestone achievement, even though he is regaining a mandate he has handled before. We also extend our solidarity greetings to other members of the executive, hoping they will not just move their party forward but the good people of Ogun state and Nigeria at large.
Knowing his antecedents, we recognize Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele as one who is passionate about youths, students and the next generation. We assure him of our support as the state chairman. We commend members of the PDP for placing the right peg in the right hole.
We implore Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele to see the office as a way to better the lot of members of the society, especially young ones.
We pray he will not fail in this challenging task and hope he will use his wealth of experience to serve, even at the national level.
In conclusion, we urge our political parties to embrace peace always. Let us be wary of violent politicking as the 2019 general elections draw nigh. No political ambition is worth someone's life. On this note NAPS remains concerned stakeholders in the political environment of our dear nation. We state unequivocally that we are nonpartisan. We are in close watch of other major political parties too. Once again we congratulate Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele.
