The ex member of house of Representatives, Honourable Rotimi Makinde has felicitated with all Muslim faithful across the country as they celebrate this year’s Eid -Kabir and identified unity and religious tolerance as panacea to achieving peace and development in the country.
Makinde in a statement signed by his Media Aide,
Solanke Taiwo Ayomideji ,described unity and religious tolerance as fundamental to
achieving coherence and peace in any country and also called on Muslim
faithful to preach peace as they celebrate this year’s Eid Kabir.
He also used the occasion to preach for unity among all people of Osun State which he said has been dangerously divided along religious, political and ethnic lines, in this vein he has called on all Muslim faithful to use the opportunity created by the celebration to preach for unity in the Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.
Solanke further cautioned good people of Osun State against various divisive tendencies capable underground mining the unity peace and oneness of the country, and called for equity and justice in every part of the country
irrespective of religious, political and ethnic lines.
