After showing signs of a stern challenge for the top four early on in the season, Jamshedpur have failed to pick up three points regularly and have just one win in their last five matches.

Opposing teams have managed to shut down the much-hyped midfield pivot of Memo and Mario Arques and thereby, cut short the team's main supply route to the attacking third. But for Cesar Ferrando, the match against Delhi Dynamos, just before the long international break, is a wonderful opportunity to gain three points and climb back into the top four.

The Men of Steel are fifth on the table with 16 points from 11 matches and a win on Wednesday will take them to at least fourth, albeit temporarily. 

Delhi Dynamos have been frustrating to watch this season and not they have been playing defensive or boring football. In fact, they have played some of the best football this season but their finishing has left a lot to be desired. Also defensively, Delhi are among the most susceptible outfits.

The biggest concern for Josep Gombau has been the absence of a goalscoring striker, with Andrija Kaludjerovic and Daniel Lalhlimpuia struggling to find the net. Add to this their wingers' inability to score goals and we have a clueless attack in front of goal. 

Ten games into the season, winless Dynamos find themselves at the bottom of the table with four points. A 2-4 collapse at the hands of Mumbai City in their last match only further exposed the lack of confidence in the team as the Lions have gone down from winning positions multiple times. In the last meeting with these two sides, Delhi were leading 2-1 in the second half before Tiri's 72nd minute equaliser settled the tie 2-2. 

Jamshedpur's prospects in front of goal aren't great either. Carlos Calvo has threatened full-backs when he had his feet on the ground but Michael Soosairaj suffered a hamstring injury against Kerala Blasters and will be out at least until January. The Indian winger has been one of their key players this season, with the marquee signing Tim Cahill having scored just one goal in nine appearances. 

Delhi's woes up front and their habit of conceding goals will give Jamshedpur the upper hand in the fixture. Gombau's team has let in 18 goals this season and only FC Goa have scored more goals than Jamshedpur (18). So it looks like another tough task for the Dynamos.
